one down, one to go...

School started today for my oldest, I cant believe I have a sixth grader. Yikes.
The really fun years (sarcastic) are upon us. I really am in so much love with
her. We spent all day Saturday and Sunday at her soccer tournament, I live for
the soccer weekends. These girls are tough, i am talking really tough. The kind
of tough that blows you away when you are watching (screaming) on the side lines.
They push, shove, and slide tackle... but then they make sure their hair looks
right. I love it.

Can't get enough of Kate

I took a sneak peek of this book over the weekend and
I am in awe. Nothing I didn't know before, meaning
I wasn't surprised of how beautiful Kate Moss is, I guess
I was in awe of the price tag for this one ($500-) It is big and
beautiful and it has a hard plastic cover like it should be
going into a time capsule.



It is a limited edition though, only 1500- copies and each of
them are signed and numbered by Mario Testino. I do want
one though, just because I love Kate Moss.

A Coach's abode

i just love this room, I am sure most of you have picked up the new
September issue of Vogue. It is 6 pounds of advertisements but
some good stuff is shoved in between! i always loved the september
issues of all the magazines. It is so funny that every magazine competes
and they all beef up in september. I remember when it was just Vogue who
supersized!








Anyways...i love this home of Reed (the president and
executive creative director of Coach) and Delphine Krakoff.
I loved when their last home that was in the Upper East Side
was featured in Elle Decor as well. i love how there is the perfect
blend of an ultramodern backdrop with such whimsical pieces
but also some traditional furnishings as well.




love this room, believe it or not but this is the master bathroom,
perfect for a pair of Louis XVI marquises!

Wheels of deals in Austin

My friend Krista over at Kiki's list is doing a great post this whole week on

Not Again. I just cant take it. My heart and stomach are not strong
enough for another teen to circumnavigate around the globe.
Look at this beauty. She is 14 years old and sailing around the
world by herself.
I followed Abby Sunderland's journey religiously and almost had
a heart attack when she went missing in the Indian Ocean, really, I
shed tears and could not eat until I knew she was safe, so I am not
sure if I can follow this new fresh breed of courage. I don't know why
or how I got so involved in all of this anyways...





Read what the "alternate route" says... yes, pirates. In case there
are pirates she will take an alternate route.

I left my heart in Malibu

We made it to the beach this weekend,
something I have been craving for a while.

how can that be? Sometimes genetics are a
mystery.



when I was 16, my friends and I jumped
off this pier... yes... for fun.

This surf competition is in a couple of weeks, at my favorite beach
in Malibu. I grew up going to this beach, it was such a huge part of
my childhood and teenage years. My family had
a home in Malibu and I grew up in these waters, they
are such a huge part of my life.
