Yes, obsessed with de Gournay wallpaper. I really am. When I stop and slow down (and save a little chunk of change) I am going to smother my dining room in it. Wallpaper (especially really expensive ones) are a HUGE commitment. I always tell clients that they really have to love the paper they are putting up because I don't want them to hate it (and me) after 6 months. There are really great papers out there, and yes, wallpaper isn't for everyone. I always suggest a grass cloth paper to my pickier clients because they are really hard to ever get sick of. They make rooms feel cozy and finished, and the colors they come in are to die for.
But getting back to de Gournay, the one that always makes me drool is the Portobello on lead grey dyed silk. I am going to mix it with really modern dining chairs and this table that I am hoping my mother will give me one day that was in our house growing up. It is totally 80's with this amazing circular cement base and an odd shaped glass top. It really is incredible. That is my plan, for now.
